2 January 1963

The Beatles were due to fly from London to Edinburgh, Scotland this morning to begin a five-day concert tour. Poor weather caused the flight to be rerouted to Aberdeen instead; unfortunately, roadie Neil Aspinall had already driven their equipment van to Edinburgh Airport to meet them. In any event, the performance that night in Keith ended up being cancelled due to snow-blocked roads. Instead, John flew home to Liverpool for a quick visit, returning to Scotland early on the 3rd.

Concert:

Longmore Hall, Church Road, Keith, Banffshire, Scotland
